Whitehall Nursery and Infant School

WNIS is a larger than average, inner city, multiracial school. A school characterised by a high number of pupils for whom English is a second language and deprivation levels which are more than four times the national level.

• 2005 a failing school, likely special measures • New Headteacher appointed

• Ofsted November 2005 – notice to improve; 4 key issues – standards, teaching, attendance, accomm-odation.

• Ofsted January 2007 - satisfactory

• Ofsted May 2010 – good with 6 outstanding features

• February 2013 - letter deferring inspections

• Ofsted December 2014 - outstanding
