St. Peter’s C.E. Primary, Farnworth

St. Peter’s is a larger than average primary school in Farnworth, Bolton. From September 2012 the school increased from a single to a two form entry school.

To accommodate this the school has recently undergone a significant building project to convert the 2 storey Victorian building to a modern 2 form entry primary school, with space for 14 classes.

The expansion of the school was achieved through the demolition of the church which occupied land immediately adjacent to the school. Since the closure of the church the head teacher and foundation Governors have worked in close partnership to explore ways in which they might reshape the opportunities, facilities and community services available to our families and community. The foundation of the school remains firm.
