St Gilbert’s is a very small, rural, Church of England Primary School, it is much smaller than the average with 63 pupils currently on roll. Pupils are organised into mixedage classes: Reception and Year 1; Years 2 and 3; Years 4, 5 and 6. The school site also provides a Kindergarten Facility, Wrap Around Child Care Provision and hosts a Toddler Group each week during term time. The school attracts children not only from the very small village of Pointon but also from the surrounding villages therefore, a large proportion of children are transported by bus or via taxi.
