Saints Peter and Paul is a Catholic Primary School serving the community of Tower Hill, Kirkby, it is larger than most primary schools with a much higher than average proportion of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals (42.2%). Most pupils are of White British heritage A much higher than average percentage of pupils has special educational needs (13%). In the multiple deprivation index, Tower Hill was recognized as the most deprived super output area in terms of finance for the household in the whole country. It was singularly the most challenged. And it was recognized as a significantly high ranking area of the socio-economic deprivation, amongst the worst in the country. The usual health issues associated with severe economic deprivation are readily identifiable in the vicinity of the school and amongst the families associated with the school.
