The Mosslands School

The Mosslands School, an 11-18 boys comprehensive in Wallasey, on the Wirral peninsular in Merseyside, has moved from being “on the brink” to being a popular and successful school in the space of four short but very busy years.

In the most recent inspection in April 2016 the school was judged to be good in all key areas, intake has nearly doubled and academic achievement has soared, already in 2016 nearly 50% of pupils have made 4 or more levels of progress in English with value added figures that place it amongst the best in the country.

Head teacher, Adrian Whiteley, says that key to this rapid improvement is down to “having clear expectations and some very simple principles – and sticking to them”
