Leedon Lower School is a larger than averagesized primary school. At the time of the inspection Richard Benson had been in post for just two terms. A very large majority of the pupils are White British. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs supported through school action is above average. The proportion supported at school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is average. A below-average proportion of pupils are supported by the pupil premium. This provides additional funding for pupils who are known to be eligible for free school meals or who are looked after by the local authority.
