The Krishna Avanti Primary School opened in September 2009 as the UK’s first state funded Hindu faith school. Located in the London Borough of Harrow, it became an academy in September 2012. The school operates open-to -all admissions and staff recruitment policies, and as a hugely popular school it attracts pupils from all backgrounds. It is not until 2019 that we become a full two form entry school; this year we will see our first cohort of Year 6 pupils leave for secondary schools.

As one of the four Avanti schools, we aim to prepare pupils for their respective life journeys by promoting three fundamental ideals of educational excellence, character formation and spiritual insight. Our unique ethos and an inclusive approach to spirituality means that pupils with or without a faith background are always welcome at our school.
