| About Us | Committed to Empowerment Our History: The Jenny Hammond Primary School is an average-sized community school situated in the London Borough of Waltham Forest near the Olympic site. Our school comprises children and adults of different faiths, cultures and backgrounds working happily together. Providing a child-centred philosophy we value each child as an individual empowering and organising them to work in small groups, individually or as members of the whole class. Our school is named after Jenny Hammond, Mayor of Leyton from 1942-43, and an active councillor for 35 years. She campaigned for causes to benefit the welfare of the local community in Waltham Forest. |
