Davies Lane Primary school

Davies Lane Primary school is a much larger than average primary school with over 700 pupils located in Leytonstone London. Our children come from a range of backgrounds and the proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs supported by school action is high. We also have a 24 place Special Resource Centre for autistic pupils. One third of the pupils in the school are eligible for free school meals. Over two-thirds speak English as an additional language.

Our school has been on a progressive journey since 2007 when it faced serious academic challenges, low expectation, falling roll and poor performance. It reflected the community it served at the time with low literacy levels among some adults and low expectation among staff.
