About Us

Corpus Christi Catholic (Voluntary Aided) Primary School is a school in the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth, we operate under the auspices of the Bishop of the diocese who ensures the quality education of the children in our care as well as ensuring that we hold true to the Church’s mission.

We are an Inclusive school; we ensure all children have the same opportunities to learn and grow in the Catholic Faith and are able to make a positive contribution to their community.

The School is a voluntary aided two form entry Primary School for 5 -11 year olds. The school was renamed in 1978 when it was housed in new buildings, replacing Holy Cross School founded in 1888. The number on roll is in the region of 435, divided into 14 classes of between 30 -32 children, although actual class numbers may be slightly more or less than this, depending on year group totals. There are two classes in each year group and teachers work together to ensure that similar learning experiences are presented to the children irrespective of class grouping within the year.
