Carrington Infant school is a two form entry infant school with 187 pupils on roll. The school was opened in 1965 and we are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year.

The school has an additionally resourced provision (ARP) for children with a primary need of ASD. Pupils in the ARP integrate into their peer group classes in the mainstream school when it is considered appropriate.

The school receives children from a range of backgrounds. It primarily serves pupils from the local area, but a number of parents choose to bring their children from further afield because of the school’s reputation and ethos. The majority of pupils are from white British families with the proportion claiming free school meals below average.
