Bournemouth Park Primary is a larger than average primary school with 560 children ranging from 3-11 years of age. The school is located in the centre of Southend on Sea. The majority of pupils are from White British backgrounds although we have an increasing number of children from different nationalities joining the school throughout the year. Over 56% of the pupil population are in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant. The majority of children come from the school catchment. Many of the pupils live in flats with no usable outside space. Pupil mobility is high due to the number of temporary houses and hostels locally which often translate into the children being in the school for short periods of time until they gain permanent housing.
