Ashfield Park Primary School

Ashfield Park Primary School is a larger than average primary school serving a largely suburban and diverse area on the edge of the historic market town of Ross on Wye. The school serves a diverse range of families and has its own nursery. Prior to taking the Headship in January 2013 the school had two changes of Head teachers in a four year period. The main challenge was deciding where to start. It was clear that the previous ‘good’ judgement required embedding to be confident that the school was truly established as a good educational setting. From discussions with senior leaders and staff it was clear that any further change had to be purposeful, sustainable and affordable. The aim was not to satisfy Ofsted but to put the child at the heart of our school improvement, providing creative and relevant learning experiences to engage and enthuse learners.
